Garki, Abuja – The Nigerian Army (NA) on Friday, May 3, told interested Nigerians that the online application for 87 regular recruits intake for non-tradesmen and women has started. The regular recruit intake applications are for secondary school certification holders. The statement as on their X account reads:

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 87RRI NIGERIAN ARMY RECRUITMENT

This is to inform the general public & all interested applicants that online application for 87 Regular Recruits Intake for Non-Tradesmen & Women has commenced. Application starts from 3rd May – 7th June 2024. Application Is Free at recruitment.army.mil.ng. Shortlisted candidates will participate in the State Recruitment Screening Exercise scheduled from 20th June – 3rd July 2024. Recruitment into the Nigerian Army Is FREE, Beware of Fraudsters.

Candidates interested in joining the Nigerian Army through the regular recruitment intake are advised to carefully review the following directives, as shared on the Nigerian Army’s website:

1. No Pre-Selection Computer-Based Test (CBT): There will be no pre-selection computer-based test (CBT) for this recruitment exercise. Candidates will be assessed through other means during the screening process.

2. No Special Centre for Recruitment: There will be no designated special center for recruitment. All activities related to the recruitment process will take place at the candidates’ respective state of origin.

3. No Zonal Screening Exercise: Unlike previous recruitment exercises, there will be no zonal screening exercise. All screening activities will be conducted at the candidates’ respective states of origin.

4. Adherence to COVID-19 Protocols: Candidates are required to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols, including regular hand washing, wearing of face masks, and observing physical distancing, during all stages of the recruitment exercise.

5. Consequences of Falsification or Forgery: Any candidate found to have falsified or forged their results, even during the training at Depot NA, will be immediately withdrawn from the training program.

6. Requirement of NIN Slip: Candidates are advised to come to the recruitment venue with their National Identification Number (NIN) Slip.

7. Avoidance of Gratification or Inducement: Candidates are strongly advised not to offer any form of gratification or inducement to any individual or group of persons to assist them in the recruitment exercise.

8. Clarification of Doubts: Candidates who have any doubts or require clarification regarding the recruitment process are encouraged to carefully read the instructions on the Nigerian Army’s website or contact the support lines provided: 070812711985 and 07041467033.

9. Publication of Shortlisted Candidates: The names of shortlisted candidates for screening will be published on the Nigerian Army’s website. Shortlisted candidates are to report to their respective states of origin for the screening exercise, which will take place from 4th to 17th December 2023.
