Have you ever been deceived by a picture that someone posted on social media probably to get sympathy or to get money from you? Well here’s how you can actually detect if the picture posted is theirs or if it was got in from the internet.

Assuming that someone posted a picture implying that they just got engaged or a picture of them receiving medical treatment in a hospital. Now you can easily find out if that picture is theirs or if they stole it from the internet.

Yes, all you have to do is

— Take a screenshot of the image and
— Open the Google Lens app on your Android phone.

— For iPhone users, open your Google app and then tap on the lens icon.
— Now select the screenshot and wait for a few seconds

Immediately Google will fish out the exact website the picture was stolen from and even find similar images as well.

I use this a lot of times but I noticed that not many people know about this so let me know if you do in the comments.

Another thing I have to admit also is that this method is not 100% foolproof. But it is one of the ways that you can avoid being scammed on social media so save this
